I have discovered my perfect sandwich – actually it’s a wrap and I’m very much in love with it.Waitrose’s Hot Smoked Salmon and Beetroot Wrap is where it’s at.

Priced at £3.50 and measuring 1.5 bites, this fantastic fusion of flavours is melt in your mouth. The soft wrap is nutty wheat bran (brownie point), the salmon is plentiful and the veg is crunchy. I’m a huge fan of horseradish and this one is exceptional. The result is delicately sweet with a bit of a kick and the texture is out of this world. The colour co-ordination of this one is buzzy and bright too… Not many sandwiches rock orange, purple and green!
Waitrose have got it so right this time, as they should. Their packaging is looking pretty cool too – well done Waitrose you needed this after the last sandwich review!
